    Greetings!

    Greetings on behalf of the members of The PEARL Foundation, Inc.  The PEARL Foundation, Inc. is the philanthropic arm of the Rho Zeta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Marietta, Georgia.

    The mission of the Foundation is to improve the quality of life for Georgians by providing education initiatives that promote self reliance, self empowerment, and self determination.  The Foundation sponsors programs that impact the lives of elementary, middle and high school students, as well as senior citizens in the community.

    We encourage and welcome support of our programs from community members and the business community.  Together, we can continue our legacy of community service.  Donations to The PEARL Foundation, Inc. are tax deductible.

    The PEARL Foundation in conjunction with the Rho Zeta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., (Cobb County) will be sponsoring the College Prep Club for female students in grades 9-12 who attend a Cobb County or Marietta City high school. A variety of informative and interesting seminars will be conducted.     The PEARL Foundation, Inc. was honored by Wells Fargo with a $1,000 grant at the company’s Days of Giving celebration at the Mansour Center in Marietta on Nov. 8, 2011.  The donation to The PEARL Foundation, Inc. is among contributions to 234 groups to non-profits across Georgia made at community events.  The program is in its third year in Atlanta.

    College Scholarships awarded to 11 Seniors from Cobb County and Marietta High Schools

    The PEARL Foundation, Inc., in conjunction with the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Rho Zeta Omega Chapter, has awarded $15,000 in scholarships to seniors from Cobb County and Marietta City high schools. The 2011 scholarship recipients were recognized during a Scholarship Reception on May 14, 2011.     Atlanta Braves Players Donate 25 Tickets to The PEARL Foundation, Inc.

    As part of the "Reach Out, Be Our Guest Program", Atlanta Braves players Tim Hudson, Chipper Jones, Brian McCann, Scott Linebrink and Martin Prado donated 25 tickets to The PEARL Foundation, Inc.

     

    May is National Foster Care Month.  In support of the Youth Aging Out of Foster Care Program, the tickets will be donated to the youth to attend the May 28th, 2011 Atlanta Braves baseball game.
